Hiii, again it's me Sophi and I come to present you the last topic of this week which is Digital Entertainment as it is a topic that is dominating in recent years, I come to explain what it is, examples, how influential it is today and more.
The combination between devices and content is the basis of digital entertainment, with the aim of satisfying the need for fun. In addition, to occupy people's idle time. Creating at the same time new realities where they find various forms of recreation.
What is Digital Entertainment?
When we refer to digital entertainment, we are referring to the use of various devices that become a source of pleasure for those who consume them, they are an alternative for recreation during free time that can become a way of escape or evasion of reality.
In general, the type of devices most used are screens such as TVs, iPads, computers, consoles, cell phones.
Video games, for example, keep users captivated with strategies such as challenges in which they must pass through different levels of difficulty, dynamics of short-term gratification, for example, receive bonuses, coins, turkeys, weapons, among others.
This logic of digital entertainment marks a significant difference in terms of the effect caused by the use of recreational screens from those that have other purposes, such as school or work use.
Transformations in the way we communicate
Evidently, technological advances have transformed the ways of communicating, of accessing information; the digital has also begun to occupy a place in the ways of entertaining, communicating and building knowledge or at least accessing information.
Increasingly, parents of children and adolescents have a very close relationship with this type of digital devices in their own lives, they model and share this way as a way of meeting.
In some cases we find that the resource of the screen becomes a way to keep the child still, digitally connected, but disconnected from the real world, without us having to take care of him for significant periods of time.
Family dynamics and even the architecture of homes do not allow children to play as they did a few decades ago, when they used to play in the streets.
Why have video games become the most popular digital entertainment today?
Video games have a direct effect on the reward centers of the brain, generating a very impacting stimulation to which we seek to return recurrently. Virtuality, which is included in the new technologies, is perhaps one of the most attractive possibilities, and our children enjoy it at an increasingly younger age, since it allows them and allows us to do practically everything with a single click.
Behind a screen there is no need to wait, everything is there when and where you want it: creation of scenarios and avatars, simulation of races, sounds, movements close to real ones, etc.
Similarly, many games offer interactive possibilities both with the game directly and in encounters with other players online without limits of age or spatial coordinates. Some games enable different modes of relationship in which particular roles or functions are assumed, and which demand a daily presence or interaction from the players, for example, if the child does not play, the gift of the day may expire, the plants may wither or the rewards may be lost.
How much time should children spend in front of a screen enjoying digital entertainment?
0 - 2 years: No screens. There is a consensus on this in practically all instances.
2 - 5 years: Between half an hour and an hour a day.
7 - 12 years: one hour with an adult in front of them. Never at mealtimes.
12 - 15 years: One hour and a half.
+ 16 years and older: Two hours.
What are its main characteristics?
Requires the use of a mobile device with Internet connection.
Depends on technology.
It is constantly evolving.
It is innovative.
It can be accessed at any time and place.
Online gambling
The online casino industry revolutionized the digital entertainment sector, positioning itself as one of the main alternatives for those who enjoy this type of leisure. Today, popular roulette games such as Lightning Roulette and slots dominate the online casino scene and invite new players to experience a classic pastime in a different way.
Electronic sports
Video games have also evolved as a digital entertainment alternative until the emergence of one of the most successful sectors: eSports. The eSports have taken multiplayer video games to a much more advanced level and, such has been the interest of the audience, that it is one of the industries that gathers more followers.
Audiovisual content
Audiovisual content is another of the digital entertainment alternatives most chosen by the public. This type of pastime offers numerous options to have fun, so the audience can choose between watching series, movies or videos and listening to music or podcasts. Thanks to streaming technology and the Internet, it is possible for users to enjoy any of these entertainments on their devices without having to download anything.
Online gaming trends
In spite of the fact that evaluating a game of this type is very subjective, there are a series of necessary elements such as simplicity of use, that it comes with instructions, or that it has good graphics (all this together with speed), which means that, lately, games developed with Flash or Shockwave (which need a module to work) are very common.
It is common to find in golf or soccer games the following game system: there are two coordinates that the user stops with the mouse or a key thanks to which he controls the force and curvature of the shot.

Hello again, I'm Sophi and now I come with another new topic, which are the types of technology in general, and I'm going to explain what each type is, what they are for and how we use them in our daily life.
Previously we have already seen the definition of technology, where we could see that technology itself is a set of technical knowledge that is applied to improve the quality of life and facilitate the demands of people through services or products. Today we will see what are the types of technology that exist.
Classification of existing types of technology
Now we are going to see how technology can be divided or classified according to its types and how they serve in different ways to human beings and their environment.
Fixed Technology
Fixed technology is a type of technology that is characterized by the fact that it is not reusable, i.e. it does not serve any purpose other than its primary purpose. It is called "fixed" technology because it never changes continuously. An example of fixed technology could very well be an oil and fuel refinery.
Flexible Technology
Flexible technology is one of the types of technology that surround our everyday world. It is called flexible because other services and products can be developed from the know-how. Examples of flexible technology can be the food or pharmaceutical industries.
Soft Technology
The term soft technology groups together knowledge related to marketing, planning or administration, without taking into account the technical knowledge itself. Unlike hard technology, soft technology is not tangible, i.e., it cannot be seen or touched.
Hard Technology
Hard technology is the set of technical knowledge that is applied to generate devices such as machines, innovation, materials and other tangible products, i.e. that can be touched.
Equipment Technology
This is one of the types of technology that applies to industries, since its meaning is understood as one in which the development of the technology itself is carried out by whoever produces the equipment. Examples of equipment technology can be the plastics or textile industries.
Operational Technology
This type of technology is achieved as a result of observation techniques over a long period of time, where the observed is observed, noted and evaluated, and then used in other types of technologies such as equipment or process technology.
Product Technology
It is responsible for grouping the technique, characteristics and knowledge used in the construction of a given product or service as manual skills and theoretical knowledge applied to achieve a specific objective.
Clean Technology
It is the one that when used does not produce modifications in the environment. In other words, clean technology is based on the rational and balanced use of resources, so that they do not affect natural systems.

ACTIVITY
Write in the comments an example of a type of technology presented in the blog :)
Thank you all for visiting the blog every day, thank you for your comments, for your patience, for doing the activities and we will see you next week with a new subtopic. Good bye!
Hello again, I'm Sophi and now I present you a subtopic about the Technology that is Artificial Intelligence, I'm going to explain the definition of Artificial Intelligence, the history of Artificial Intelligence, how Artificial Intelligence works and more.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently one of the most thought-provoking topics in technology and business. This enthusiasm has a rationale: we live in an increasingly connected and intelligent world. Today, you can build a car, compose Jazz using an algorithm, or connect your CRM to your inbox to prioritize the most important emails. The technology behind all these advances is related to Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Definition of Artificial Intelligence ☎
Artificial Intelligence is the scientific field of computer science that focuses on the creation of programs and mechanisms that can exhibit behaviors considered intelligent. In other words, AI is the concept that "machines think like humans".
Typically, an AI system is able to analyze large amounts of data (big data), identify patterns and trends, and therefore formulate predictions automatically, quickly and accurately. For us, the important thing is that AI makes our everyday experiences smarter.
How? 馃摱馃摫
By integrating predictive analytics and other AI techniques into applications we use every day.
Siri functions as a personal assistant, as it uses natural language processing.
Facebook and Google Photos suggest photo tagging and grouping based on image recognition.
Amazon offers product recommendations based on shopping basket models.
Waze provides optimized traffic information and real-time navigation.
History of Artificial Intelligence 馃摕
Most of us have a concept of Artificial Intelligence fueled by Hollywood movies. Exterminators, robots with existential crises and red and blue pills. In fact, AI has been in our imaginations and in our laboratories since 1956, when a group of scientists initiated the "Artificial Intelligence" research project at Dartmouth College in the United States. The term was first coined there and, since then, we have witnessed a roller coaster of advances.
At the beginning of the project, the goal was that human intelligence could be described so accurately that a machine would be able to simulate it. This concept was also known as "generic AI" and it was this idea that fueled the (amazing) fiction that it would give us unlimited entertainment.
However, AI drifted into specific fields. Over time, science evolved into specific areas of knowledge, and it was then that AI began to generate significant results in our lives. It was a combination of image recognition, language processing, neural networks and automotive mechanics that made an autonomous vehicle possible.
Table of important events in the history of Artificial Intelligence 馃摜
Year Event
1842 Lovelace: programmable analytical machine
1950 Turing: the Turing test
1956 McCarthy, Minsky, Rochester and Shannon hold first conference on AI
1965 Weizenbaum: "ELIZA", the first specialist system
1993 Horswill: "Polly" (behavioral robotics)
2005 TiVo: recommendation technology
2011 Apple, Google and Microsoft: mobile recommendation applications
2013 Various: technological breakthroughs in machine and deep learning
2016 Google DeepMind: AlphaGo beats Lee Sedol in the game "Go".
Main techniques of Artificial Intelligence 馃摶
Automatic learning
"Machine Learning is the science of making computers perform actions without the need for explicit programming."
Some examples of Machine Learning algorithms include the following: decision diagrams, clustering algorithms, genetic algorithms, Bayesian networks and Deep Learning.
Deep learning
Deep Learning is a Machine Learning technique that uses neural networks to perform classification tasks.
Some examples of practical applications of Deep Learning are the following: identification of vehicles, pedestrians and license plates of autonomous vehicles, image recognition, translation and natural language processing.
Intelligent data discovery
The idea is to enable full automation of the EI cycle: data incorporation and preparation, predictive analytics and pattern and hypothesis identification.
This is an interesting example of intelligent data retrieval in action. Information that no IE tool had ever discovered.
Predictive analytics
The main concept of predictive analytics means that you can use a number of variables (income, zip code, age, etc.) combined with outcomes to generate a model that provides a score representing the probability of an event.
Business use cases are broad: credit models, customer segmentation (clustering) models, purchase probability models, and customer migration models, among others.
